The Square Peg (North East) was set up to bring about a revolution in the way people with mental health, autism and other intellectual disabilities are supported, cared for and integrated within the community, in the North East of England. We have set ourselves on the path of creating inclusive communities where everyone is recognised for their individual potential and not their disability. We are a positive disrupter with an agenda for social change in the way we as a society value those with additional needs.
We specialise in customisable holistic support that specifically gives people with mental health conditions, autism and intellectual disabilities an opportunity to participate in a range of activities that are meant to develop their skills and capabilities so they are able to lead life with greater control, independence and self-esteem.
To create opportunities in the North East for people with autism and intellectual disabilities so they are able to develop their interests and skills to attain normalcy and become valuable citizens in our society.
Creating a country where social inclusion and equal opportunities for everyone is an expectation regardless of additional needs people may have.
